The “Parklands”

From the Coast, along the Great Dividing Range and into the West. Grassy wooded “parklands” forged by natural fire regimes and maintained by Aboriginals dominated the landscape. These are the observed descriptions of the biospheres made by early surveyors and explorers, now largely forgotten by those who practice ‘wilderness science.’
